Channel Islands distributor appointed

The lead article on Infection Control in the February issue of Dental Nursing Magazine (Vol 3, No 1)) reviews the problem of needle-stick and methods to prevent the all too commonly occurring problem. Dentistry Magazine: Safe-Point recommended in lead infection control article

The lead article on Infection Control in the second November issue of Dentistry Magazine (23 November 2006) looks at the risks of needle-stick injury and what can be done to prevent it. Seen on page 91-92 of Dentistry, the article entitled 'Needle stick injury - am I bothered?' highlights the risk to practitioners worldwide in the removal of used needles from syringes. The Safe-Point stand draws a crowd for 3 days at the annual BDTA Dental Showcase at ExCeL, London
Members of dental teams from across the UK were impressed at Safe-Point’s simplicity and ease of use.  A high proportion of delegates visiting the stand had suffered a needle-stick injury at least once and clearly remembered that heart-stopping moment!  Thanks to Safe-Point there is finally a reliable solution to the safe removal and disposal of used needles from the favoured re-usable syringe.

Firm responsible for Safe-Point assembly wins award
Prism Electronics, the Cambridgeshire firm responsible for assembling Safe-Point, won an award at the UK Best Factory Awards 2005.  The scheme is run jointly by Cranfield University School of Management and Works Management publication and aims to promote and reward manufacturing excellence.  Prism was one of just 12 companies across the UK to be short-listed for an award.
